Besides that…

Stand and Fill’s design speaks of convenience. Because of its high weight capacity, you won’t need a refill too often. And you don’t have to go to the feeder now and then either just to check if there’s anything left.

On one side of the bucket, there’s a window – a feed level sight gauge – so you can see its contents even from a distance.

Plus…

The overall durability and sturdiness of this feeder are very reliable. It might encounter bears or other huge animals, but it would stay put. You can use the stabilizing pegs on the legs’ footpads that come with the package. They’re all made of high-quality metal!

However, we were unimpressed by the lid of this feeder. For its expensive price, it should be more secure, so strong winds won’t be able to blow it off. And rainwater gets in, which isn’t good for the feed. But it’s nothing that a plastic cover can’t fix.

Still…

We highly recommend Stand and Fill. It’s heavier than other feeders – which is the price of durability. But we quickly assembled it in less than 30 minutes. That includes the pegs and filling up the container.

Once set up, it’s also very easy to operate the timer. And then, you can just leave it there and wait for the deer to come!

This model’s only difference from Stand and Fill is its height. Wildlife & Deer Feeder can rise to eight feet tall instead of four. Other than that, it has the same features and specs. And it also has the same flaws.

There’s still the matter of the lid that doesn’t have hinges and isn’t water-proof. But overall, it’s durable and sturdy. It won’t fall off even if huge animals try to knock it out. And it’s safe from thieving squirrels or raccoons.

On top of that…

You can get it up and running in no time at all! Extra care is needed when you adjust the legs to their full height as it becomes less balanced. But once it’s set up, you can sit back and relax.

There’s no unique or special feature in this Moultrie hunting feeder. But we expected as much from a relatively affordable purchase.

What we didn’t expect…… was how this game feeder is so compatible with solar panels that it lasted longer than most of the feeders we’ve tried. We had a hard time connecting it at first because there wasn’t a manual in the package.

But we found our way, which was to simply clip the connector to the battery to charge it. It doesn’t require anything more complicated than that!

So…

It was really easy to set up. Once planted on the ground, you can set the timer to one to four feeding times a day. And that’s it! All you have to do is wait.

But you’ll have to check in from time to time because there’s no battery or feed level gauge. Since it accommodates only up to 250 pounds of feed, your visits are going to be more often.

And in one of our visits, we noticed that the legs dug into the soft after-rain ground because it was a bit sharp. We had to screw flat footpads into them. Beyond that, we didn’t encounter any more problems.

In fact…

This is a durable game feeder that can withstand rugged conditions. With unpredictable weather, you’re going to need this reliable tool to keep the deer fed.

Only…

The feed might be safe, but the timer and solar panel don’t have the same protection. But you can cover it with a plastic material that’s probably lying around in your garage. That’s about the only complaint we have on this feeder’s setup.

Without requiring legs, straps, or poles, assembling this feeder and making it operational is a one-person, 15-minute job. Not to mention how easy it is to set the timer! The only downside is that it’s too heavy.

Overall…

You can have a lot from this purchase, even if it’s a bit expensive. There are no gauges or other additional features. But the security it offers is a steal in itself!
